A web page does not need a crowd to become visible. A sitemap, a link, a browser request, or an automated discovery system can turn a quiet address into a place that machines revisit.

That makes a small website useful for observation. With little human traffic, each automated request is easier to notice, compare, and place on a timeline.

The interesting question is not only how many requests arrive. It is how quickly they arrive, which paths they choose, and whether their behavior changes after a site publishes a clear preference.
